Mini Reports & Clips

The Hereford Paranormal Group produces a full written report for every investigation it completes. On average these reports are anything between 25-32 pages in length and very thorough, so it would be impossible to include the full report on this site. However, we wanted to share some of our findings on this site.

Englands Gate Inn

The start of a profoundly exciting journey for the Hereford Paranormal group, the England’s Gate Inn proved hopeful in our investigations of the scientifically unexplained ‘Paranormal’ world. The building was presented to us with accounts of previous activity, this is always encouraging as you cannot simply claim any old building will definitely have current spirit activity. The group was lucky enough to be the first to investigate the location, where much preparatory work went into the making of our ‘first’ investigation. This included in depth historical research, and scientific research into the nature of paranormal investigations.

Kris Price, our resident Medium and co founder of the group, was not notified of the location and any associated details prior to the investigation, meaning the facts he stated were not gained by speaking to owners/staff, and were in my opinion entirely genuine and accurate. A classic for the group in this light, was when he mentioned a picture had been moved, and a resident spirit was not happy with this. Just weeks later, the owner reported to a newspaper the picture had ‘flown off the wall’, that had also been moved from a previous position, an interesting series of events indeed. This simply scratches the surface of the facts found to be highly accurate.

Other experiences of psychic impressions were felt, including a feeling of unease; there were numerous accounts of coldness/breeze, confirmed as unusual in many cases where these areas were previously upon baseline testing found to be conforming with the room average. A group member was ‘pushed off a fridge’, and a ‘voice’ was heard near the old rustic stables. A Séance/Ouija board was conducted, where information gained was later proved historically accurate to the building, light anomalies were caught on camera, and a glass moved at fast pace around the table.

Looking back, our time at this location proved a fascinating and enlightening experience, setting for some time a standard for the group to work from. With many experiences scientifically unexplainable, this is one investigation we shall remember well.

The Green Man

The onset of Autumn meant no slow down in the fast pace our group has developed. In September we were once again privileged to be the first group to do a full investigation at an Inn dating back to the first year of the reign of Henry V11 AD 1485. Past uses of the building included it being used as a court and jail, and also a coaching house. The current manager claimed there was a spirit called George, who would move objects, and make some feel a little jumpy at the location.

As was the nature of our busy autumn, two reporters, who were lucky enough to take part on our investigation, joined us. In reflection, our time at this locations while not producing our most prolific levels of scientifically recordable, and unexplainable material, it was the very personalised nature of the accounts Kris was giving during the evening. He explained this ‘George’, was in fact a women called Eliza (later found to be Historically accurate), but his account also related to a staff member whom he felt was made to feel uneasy by the spirit by moving items such a knives/forks, once again confirmed as true. Kris also claimed a certain pump at the bar may have been influenced by spirit; once again this was confirmed by the owner. This in my view is always astonishing to witness, the nature of these personal accounts means they are often not published on the internet-for example- and are often just as astounding to hear as historic details, such as dates/names are.

Unfortunately, as the group was in its infancy, there was just one digital video camera available during the investigation. This meant that some of our arguably most astonishing portrayals of unusual activity were not recorded. However, for those who witnessed a glass lifting clearly off the table top during a Séance/Ouija board experiment, they are steadfast in their view it was absolutely not explainable scientifically, and highly surprising.

Kris provided us with a fascinating insight into not only the history of the location, but also the minds of the spirits present, and many personal accounts experienced by those currently working within the building. The group member feedback was mixed, ranging from those convinced they had witnessed something unexplainable, to those who remained open minded; this helps improve the overall picture after such an investigation, remaining open to explanation. The Green Man Inn is a place we shall all remember, and certainly worthy of future, more in depth investigation.
